Refund Policy
This Refund Policy governs all refund requests for paid subscription plans on Atlas Digital Vault. By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy. This policy complies with the consumer protection principles of the United Republic of Tanzania.
1. Free Trial Period
All paid subscription plans include a 14-day free trial. During the trial period:
- You have full access to all features of your chosen plan.
- No payment is charged during the trial.
- You may cancel at any time during the trial at no cost.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged the applicable subscription fee.
We strongly encourage you to fully evaluate the Service during the free trial before committing to a paid subscription. The free trial exists to give you adequate time to determine whether the Service meets your needs.
2. Refund Eligibility — The 15-Day Rule
Our refund policy is based on a clear, straightforward rule:
Within 15 days of your subscription payment date
You are eligible for a prorated refund. We calculate the refund as follows:
Daily Rate = Subscription Amount ÷ 30
Amount Used = Daily Rate × Number of Days Used
Refund Amount = Subscription Amount − Amount Used
The "Number of Days Used" is counted from your payment date to the date we receive and approve your refund request.
After 15 days from your subscription payment date
No refund will be issued. You may cancel your subscription to prevent future charges, and you will retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period.
3. Refund Calculation Examples
The following examples illustrate how prorated refunds are calculated:
Example 1 — Monthly Plan ($9.99/month), refund requested on Day 5:
- Daily Rate: $9.99 ÷ 30 = $0.333/day
- Amount Used: $0.333 × 5 days = $1.67
- Refund: $9.99 − $1.67 = $8.32
Example 2 — Monthly Plan ($9.99/month), refund requested on Day 12:
- Daily Rate: $9.99 ÷ 30 = $0.333/day
- Amount Used: $0.333 × 12 days = $4.00
- Refund: $9.99 − $4.00 = $5.99
Example 3 — Monthly Plan ($9.99/month), refund requested on Day 16:
- No refund. The request is beyond the 15-day window.
- You retain access until the end of your billing period.
4. Yearly Subscriptions
For yearly subscription plans, the same 15-day rule applies from the date of each annual payment:
- Within 15 days of your annual payment date: Prorated refund calculated as (Annual Amount ÷ 365) × Days Remaining, where Days Remaining = 365 − Days Used.
- After 15 days from your annual payment date: No refund will be issued. You may cancel your subscription to prevent renewal, and you will retain access until the end of your annual billing period.
5. Plan Downgrades
If you downgrade from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan:
- The downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
- No refund is issued for the difference in plan pricing during the current billing period.
- You retain all features of your current plan until the end of the current billing period.
- If the downgrade results in exceeding the limits of the new plan (e.g., storage or document count limits), you will need to reduce your usage before the downgrade takes effect.
6. Plan Upgrades
If you upgrade from a lower-tier plan to a higher-tier plan:
- The upgrade takes effect immediately upon payment.
- You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period based on the difference in plan pricing.
- Subsequent billing cycles will be charged at the full rate of the new plan.
7. Refund Exceptions — No Refund Under These Circumstances
Regardless of timing, we reserve the right to decline a refund request in the following cases:
- Terms Violation: If your account was suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
- Fraud or Abuse: If we determine, in our sole discretion, that the refund request is fraudulent, abusive, or constitutes an attempt to exploit this policy (including repeated subscribe-and-refund patterns).
- Chargebacks: If you have initiated a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider. Disputed charges will be handled through the payment provider's dispute resolution process.
- Promotional Pricing: Subscriptions purchased at a promotional, discounted, or special offer rate may have different refund terms as stated at the time of purchase.
- Third-Party Purchases: Subscriptions purchased through third-party platforms (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store) are subject to the refund policies of those platforms. We cannot process refunds for purchases made through third-party stores.
- Account Misuse: If the refund request follows any activity that violates applicable law or our policies.
8. Service Credits vs. Refunds
Service Credits issued under our Service Level Agreement are separate from and independent of refunds. Service Credits:
- Are applied as a percentage discount on your next billing cycle.
- Cannot be redeemed for cash or monetary refund.
- Cannot be combined with a refund request for the same billing period.
- Do not extend the refund eligibility window.
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include your account email address and the reason for your refund request.
- Our team will review your request and verify eligibility within 3 business days.
- If approved, the prorated refund will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
The refund eligibility window is calculated based on the date your refund request is received by us, not the date it is processed.
10. Refund Processing
- All approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- Processing times vary depending on your payment provider and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
- Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original payment.
- Atlas Digital Vault is not responsible for any currency conversion fees, bank processing fees, or other charges imposed by your bank or payment provider.
- All refund calculations are final and determined at our sole discretion based on this policy.
11. Account Status After Refund
After a refund is processed:
- Your account will be immediately downgraded to the Starter (free) plan.
- You will retain access to your encrypted documents within the limits of the Starter plan.
- Documents and data exceeding the Starter plan limits will remain encrypted on our servers but will be inaccessible until you upgrade again.
- No data will be deleted as a result of a refund or downgrade. Your encrypted content remains safely stored.
12. Cancellation Without Refund
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting [email protected]. If you cancel outside the 15-day refund window:
- No refund will be issued for the remaining period.
- You will retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period.
- Your account will automatically downgrade to the Starter (free) plan at the end of the billing period.
- Automatic renewal will be stopped and no further charges will be made.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Changes will not retroactively affect refund requests submitted before the change.

Sera hii ya Kurudishiwa Pesa inaongoza maombi yote ya kurudishiwa pesa kwa mipango ya usajili wa kulipia kwenye Atlas Digital Vault. Kwa kujisajili kwenye mpango wa kulipia, unakubali na kukubaliana na masharti ya Sera hii ya Kurudishiwa Pesa. Sera hii inazingatia kanuni za ulinzi wa watumiaji za Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania.
1. Kipindi cha Jaribio Bure
Mipango yote ya usajili wa kulipia inajumuisha jaribio la bure la siku 14. Wakati wa kipindi cha jaribio:
- Una ufikiaji kamili wa vipengele vyote vya mpango wako uliouchagua.
- Hakuna malipo yanayotozwa wakati wa jaribio.
- Unaweza kufuta wakati wowote wakati wa jaribio bila gharama yoyote.
- Ikiwa hukufuta kabla ya jaribio kumalizika, usajili wako utabadilishwa moja kwa moja kuwa mpango wa kulipia na njia yako ya malipo itatozwa ada ya usajili inayostahili.
Tunakuhimiza sana kutathmini Huduma kikamilifu wakati wa jaribio la bure kabla ya kujitolea kwa usajili wa kulipia. Jaribio la bure lipo ili kukupa muda wa kutosha kuamua kama Huduma inakidhi mahitaji yako.
2. Ustahiki wa Kurudishiwa Pesa — Kanuni ya Siku 15
Sera yetu ya kurudishiwa pesa inategemea kanuni wazi na rahisi:
Ndani ya siku 15 tangu tarehe ya malipo ya usajili wako
Unastahiki kupata kurudishiwa pesa kwa uwiano. Tunahesabu kiasi cha kurudishiwa kama ifuatavyo:
Daily Rate = Subscription Amount ÷ 30
Amount Used = Daily Rate × Number of Days Used
Refund Amount = Subscription Amount − Amount Used
"Idadi ya Siku Zilizotumika" inahesabiwa kuanzia tarehe yako ya malipo hadi tarehe tunayopokea na kuidhinisha ombi lako la kurudishiwa pesa.
Baada ya siku 15 tangu tarehe ya malipo ya usajili wako
Hakuna pesa itakayorudishwa. Unaweza kufuta usajili wako ili kuzuia malipo ya baadaye, na utaendelea kupata ufikiaji wa vipengele vyote vya kulipia hadi mwisho wa kipindi chako cha sasa cha malipo.
3. Mifano ya Hesabu ya Kurudishiwa Pesa
Mifano ifuatayo inaonyesha jinsi kurudishiwa pesa kwa uwiano kunavyohesabiwa:
Mfano 1 — Mpango wa Kila Mwezi ($9.99/mwezi), ombi la kurudishiwa pesa Siku ya 5:
- Daily Rate: $9.99 ÷ 30 = $0.333/day
- Amount Used: $0.333 × 5 days = $1.67
- Refund: $9.99 − $1.67 = $8.32
Mfano 2 — Mpango wa Kila Mwezi ($9.99/mwezi), ombi la kurudishiwa pesa Siku ya 12:
- Daily Rate: $9.99 ÷ 30 = $0.333/day

- Refund: $9.99 − $4.00 = $5.99
Mfano 3 — Mpango wa Kila Mwezi ($9.99/mwezi), ombi la kurudishiwa pesa Siku ya 16:
- Hakuna kurudishiwa pesa. Ombi limezidi dirisha la siku 15.
- Utaendelea kupata ufikiaji hadi mwisho wa kipindi chako cha malipo.
4. Usajili wa Kila Mwaka
Kwa mipango ya usajili wa kila mwaka, kanuni ile ile ya siku 15 inatumika kuanzia tarehe ya kila malipo ya kila mwaka:
- Ndani ya siku 15 tangu tarehe ya malipo yako ya kila mwaka: Kurudishiwa pesa kwa uwiano kunahesabiwa kama (Kiasi cha Mwaka ÷ 365) × Siku Zilizobaki, ambapo Siku Zilizobaki = 365 − Siku Zilizotumika.
- Baada ya siku 15 tangu tarehe ya malipo yako ya kila mwaka: Hakuna pesa itakayorudishwa. Unaweza kufuta usajili wako ili kuzuia upyaji, na utaendelea kupata ufikiaji hadi mwisho wa kipindi chako cha malipo ya kila mwaka.
5. Kushuka Daraja la Mpango
Ukishuka kutoka mpango wa kiwango cha juu hadi mpango wa kiwango cha chini:
- Kushuka daraja kunaanza kutumika mwanzoni mwa mzunguko wako ujao wa malipo.
- Hakuna pesa inayorudishwa kwa tofauti ya bei za mpango wakati wa kipindi cha sasa cha malipo.
- Utaendelea kupata vipengele vyote vya mpango wako wa sasa hadi mwisho wa kipindi cha sasa cha malipo.
- Ikiwa kushuka daraja kunasababisha kuzidi vikomo vya mpango mpya (k.m., vikomo vya hifadhi au idadi ya nyaraka), utahitaji kupunguza matumizi yako kabla ya kushuka daraja kuanza kutumika.
6. Kupanda Daraja la Mpango
Ukipanda kutoka mpango wa kiwango cha chini hadi mpango wa kiwango cha juu:
- Kupanda daraja kunaanza kutumika mara moja baada ya malipo.
- Utatozwa kiasi cha uwiano kwa siku zilizobaki za kipindi cha sasa cha malipo kulingana na tofauti ya bei za mpango.
- Mizunguko ya malipo inayofuata itatozwa kwa kiwango kamili cha mpango mpya.
7. Masharti ya Kutokurudishiwa Pesa
Bila kujali muda, tunajihifadhia haki ya kukataa ombi la kurudishiwa pesa katika hali zifuatazo:
- Ukiukaji wa Masharti: Ikiwa akaunti yako ilisimamishwa au kusitishwa kutokana na ukiukaji wa Masharti ya Huduma yetu au Sera ya Matumizi Yanayokubalika.
- Udanganyifu au Unyanyasaji: Ikiwa tunabaini, kwa uamuzi wetu peke yetu, kuwa ombi la kurudishiwa pesa ni la udanganyifu, la unyanyasaji, au linajaribu kutumia sera hii vibaya (ikiwemo mifumo ya kujisajili-na-kurudishiwa mara kwa mara).
- Malipo ya Kupingwa: Ikiwa umeanzisha upingaji wa malipo au mzozo wa malipo na benki yako au mtoa huduma wa malipo. Malipo yanayopingwa yatashughulikiwa kupitia mchakato wa utatuzi wa migogoro wa mtoa huduma wa malipo.
- Bei za Promosheni: Usajili ulionunuliwa kwa bei ya promosheni, punguzo, au ofa maalum unaweza kuwa na masharti tofauti ya kurudishiwa pesa kama ilivyoelezwa wakati wa ununuzi.
- Manunuzi ya Watu wa Tatu: Usajili ulionunuliwa kupitia majukwaa ya watu wa tatu (k.m., Apple App Store, Google Play Store) unategemea sera za kurudishiwa pesa za majukwaa hayo. Hatuwezi kusindika kurudishiwa pesa kwa manunuzi yaliyofanywa kupitia maduka ya watu wa tatu.
- Matumizi Mabaya ya Akaunti: Ikiwa ombi la kurudishiwa pesa linafuata shughuli yoyote inayokiuka sheria zinazotumika au sera zetu.
8. Mikopo ya Huduma dhidi ya Kurudishiwa Pesa
Mikopo ya Huduma inayotolewa chini ya Mkataba wetu wa Kiwango cha Huduma ni tofauti na huru na kurudishiwa pesa. Mikopo ya Huduma:
- Inatumika kama punguzo la asilimia kwenye mzunguko wako ujao wa malipo.
- Haiwezi kubadilishwa kuwa pesa taslimu au kurudishiwa pesa.
- Haiwezi kuchanganywa na ombi la kurudishiwa pesa kwa kipindi kile kile cha malipo.
- Haipanui dirisha la ustahiki wa kurudishiwa pesa.
9. Jinsi ya Kuomba Kurudishiwa Pesa
Ili kuomba kurudishiwa pesa:
- Tuma barua pepe kwa [email protected] ukiwa na mada "Ombi la Kurudishiwa Pesa".
- Jumuisha anwani ya barua pepe ya akaunti yako na sababu ya ombi lako la kurudishiwa pesa.
- Timu yetu itakagua ombi lako na kuthibitisha ustahiki ndani ya siku 3 za kazi.
- Ikiidhiniwa, kurudishiwa pesa kwa uwiano kutasindikwa ndani ya siku 5-10 za kazi kwenye njia yako ya awali ya malipo.
Dirisha la ustahiki wa kurudishiwa pesa linahesabiwa kulingana na tarehe ombi lako la kurudishiwa pesa linapopokelewa na sisi, si tarehe linayosindikwa.
10. Usindikaji wa Kurudishiwa Pesa
- Kurudishiwa pesa zote zilizoidhinishwa hutolewa kwenye njia ya awali ya malipo iliyotumika kwa ununuzi.
- Muda wa usindikaji hutofautiana kulingana na mtoa huduma wako wa malipo na unaweza kuchukua siku 5-10 za kazi kuonekana kwenye taarifa yako.
- Kurudishiwa pesa hutolewa kwa sarafu ile ile ya malipo ya awali.
- Atlas Digital Vault haihusiki na ada zozote za ubadilishaji wa sarafu, ada za usindikaji wa benki, au malipo mengine yanayowekwa na benki yako au mtoa huduma wa malipo.
- Hesabu zote za kurudishiwa pesa ni za mwisho na zinatambuliwa kwa uamuzi wetu peke yetu kulingana na sera hii.
11. Hali ya Akaunti Baada ya Kurudishiwa Pesa
Baada ya kurudishiwa pesa kusindikwa:
- Akaunti yako itashushwa mara moja hadi mpango wa Starter (bure).
- Utaendelea kupata ufikiaji wa nyaraka zako zilizosimbwa kwa njia fiche ndani ya vikomo vya mpango wa Starter.
- Nyaraka na data zinazozidi vikomo vya mpango wa Starter zitaendelea kusimbwa kwa njia fiche kwenye seva zetu lakini hazitapatikana hadi upandishe daraja tena.
- Hakuna data itakayofutwa kutokana na kurudishiwa pesa au kushuka daraja. Maudhui yako yaliyosimbwa kwa njia fiche yanaendelea kuhifadhiwa kwa usalama.
12. Kufuta Bila Kurudishiwa Pesa
Unaweza kufuta usajili wako wakati wowote kupitia mipangilio ya akaunti yako au kwa kuwasiliana na [email protected]. Ukifuta nje ya dirisha la kurudishiwa pesa la siku 15:
- Hakuna pesa itakayorudishwa kwa kipindi kilichobaki.
- Utaendelea kupata ufikiaji wa vipengele vyote vya kulipia hadi mwisho wa kipindi chako cha sasa cha malipo.
- Akaunti yako itashuka daraja moja kwa moja hadi mpango wa Starter (bure) mwishoni mwa kipindi cha malipo.
- Upyaji wa moja kwa moja utasimamishwa na hakuna malipo zaidi yatakayofanywa.
13. Mabadiliko ya Sera Hii
Tunaweza kusasisha Sera hii ya Kurudishiwa Pesa mara kwa mara. Mabadiliko yatawekwa kwenye ukurasa huu na tarehe iliyosasishwa ya "Ilisasishwa Mwisho". Mabadiliko muhimu yatawasilishwa kupitia barua pepe angalau siku 30 kabla ya kuanza kutumika. Mabadiliko hayataathiri kwa nyuma maombi ya kurudishiwa pesa yaliyowasilishwa kabla ya mabadiliko.
